Biography

Kayla Schmitt began her training in North Carolina at the age of two at Ballet Conservatory of Asheville. She is a current member of New Chamber Ballet in NYC under direction of Miro Maglorie. She recently graduated from a pre-professional training program at Ballet Chicago and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet where she studied a wide range of dance styles including Ballet, Tap, Theater Jazz, Hip Hop, and many Modern techniques. Kayla has had the opportunity to preform works by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Miro Maglorie, and Durante Verzola. In addition to performing professionally, she has taught at CPYB, Ballet Chicago, The Little Wild School, and is Currently teaching at Breaking Ground Dance Center in NY.
